| A Successful Career Discovery Day | | | | January 22, 2015 | | | | On Thursday, January 22, POW I-80, Elevate Iowa, the Iowa Transportation Museum, and Iowa Valley Community College joined forces to host "Career Discovery Days", a highly interactive career fair directed towards local high school juniors and seniors in order to expose them to employment opportunities available in Poweshiek County. The event was highly successful in connecting local youth with local businesses through a series of speakers, panels and employer booths. Students were acquainted with local economic and career-oriented resources, and got to speak directly with representatives from local manufacturers. POW I-80 would like to thank the Iowa Transportation Museum for making this event possible. | |
