Description:
Jeld-Wen Door Division in Grinnell, a market leader in mfg interior and exterior doors serving the Midwest market, is now accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician on 1st (7 AM - 3 PM) or third shift (11 PM - 7 AM). Must have maintenance experience, preferably in a mfg. environment, be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and well trained in preventative maintenance. Must be willing to work overtime when required, including Saturday.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing machinery, completing small fabrication projects and small tool repair.
Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent; a two-year technical degree is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, general building wiring, electric motors, lubrication, PLCs, control systems, paint systems, TPM and lean manufacturing is preferred. Working at elevation is required at times.
