| Career Discovery Day At Grinnell Mutual on November 20th from 9am-2:30pm | | | | November 9, 2018 | | | Career Discovery Day is November 20th from 9am-2:30pm at Grinnell Mutual. Career Discovery Day is a career fair for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from local schools to learn more about local businesses as they plan their path towards further education and employment. The event is directed at students interested in a 2-year education, working toward certifications, or job seeking directly out of high school.
There will be interactive booths and panel discussions in the morning and tours of local businesses in the afternoon. The event focuses on fields of: business, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, construction, healthcare, hospitality, education/daycare, and social services: EMT/fire/police.
Career Discovery Day is put on in partnership with Poweshiek Iowa Development, Iowa Valley Community College, and the Grinnell AmeriCorps Partnership.
