ASSISTANT COUNTY ATTORNEY
The Poweshiek County Attorney is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant County Attorney.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Duties of the position include prosecution of simple misdemeanor and some indictable offenses, mental health cases, juvenile cases, and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa. The ideal candidate will have trial experience and at least two years experience practicing law. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to manage a large caseload. Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required.
Hours/Compensation:
Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Applicants will be subject to a background check and finalists will be required to complete a pre-employment drug-screen and physical.
