Description:
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
· Prepare and update Quality system procedures/policies as required to meet applicable standards (IATF16949, ISO, etc)
· Schedules, conducts and maintains Layered Process Audits, IATF16949 audits, ISO14001 audits and internal audits and verifies action plans are develop and completed
· Liaison with third party auditors regarding audit scheduling and general communication
· Develop/approve gauging for new programs or revisions to existing programs
· Performs audits as required
· Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Statistical Process Control system
· Responsible for product capability studies/analysis and other specialized statistical analysis as required
· Analyze statistical data and initiate corrective actions or inspection frequency changes as needed
· Customer and/or supplier liaison for quality systems to meet and exceed IATF 16949 requirements through customer visits and building of customer relations
· Responsible for preparation of Control Plans, and inspection instructions/check sheet as required
· Responsible for PPAP sample submissions
· Schedule CMM and coordinate gage calibration system
· Promote and practice our “safety first” policy by addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe situations immediately
· Fill in for Quality Manager as necessary
· High school diploma or GED with a preference to Associate or Bachelor’s degree
· Five or more years’ experience in lead Quality Assurance role
· Metal stamping and robotic experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Thorough knowledge and clear understanding of the IATF16949, ISO14001 and customer specific requirements through training and/or experience.
· Knowledge and understanding of the Automotive Industry requirements (AIAB/Core Tools, etc.)
· Must have good organizational skills
· Must exhibit high integrity and honesty
· Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret internal procedures, documents and processes, internal and customer requirements, flow diagrams, and business correspondences
· Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
· Must be able to work well individually or in a team environment, effectively interacting with all levels of the organization
· Project management skills to work on several projects at once, driving each to completion
· Ability to view all aspects of the system, seeing how each aspect interrelates within the organization
